Demain sera inaugurée l’édition 2009 du Festival international d’animation d’Ottawa. Un merci amical à Chris Robinson, directeur artistique du festival, pour m’avoir envoyé l’affiche de l’édition 2004. Ce blogue fera relâche pendant quelques jours.
On se rappelle que c’est la polémique autour de l’affiche de 2009 qui m’a donné l’idée de ce blogue.
Tomorrow will be inaugurated the 2009 edition of the Ottawa International Animation Festival. Friendly thanks to Chris Robinson, artistic director of the festival, for sending me the poster of the 2004 edition. This blog will take a pause for a few days.
One remembers that this blog was created because of the dispute over the 2009 poster.

J’ai rarement vu une affiche de festival d’animation résultant d’un projet aussi ambitieux. I rarely saw such an ambitious project for an animation festival poster.

“The festival poster for the jubilee edition of the Holland Animation Film Festival was a special collaboration of ten acclaimed artists. All artists were asked to give their interpretation of the well-known festival logo, designed by Joost Swarte (The Netherlands). Participating artists are Blexbolex (France), Dave Cooper (Canada), Han Hoogerbrugge (The Nederlands), Francesca Ghermandi (Italy), Tanaami Keiichi (Japan), Mariscal (Spain), Ever Meulen (Belgium), Art Spiegelman (United States) and Chris Ware (United States). Strip cartoonist Joost Swarte came up with the concept and made the lay-out.”
